Perfect Residential Grid

The blocks just south of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco offer a perfect grid of homogeneous housing.  Homes are nearly identical, as seen from the street.  Most were built in the 1920, 30s, and early 40s, and have at most 3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms.

I had to build a rough 3d model of San Fran a bunch of years ago (pre-Google Earth) for a movie project, and after modeling the skyscrapers downtown for days, it was such a relief to hit this neighbourhood.

I modeled three blocks, and then copy-paste-copy-paste-copy-paste DONE! :) Huge swaths of the peninsula finished in an afternoon.
